With our new website, comes an upgrade to our online training diary. Available to everyone with website login details, the diary allows all Range of Motion clients to submit and record all training sessions. I (Dan) am automatically notified of the submission for comments on the session. This is the major source of communication for individual sessions, whether workouts or rehab. All Range of Motion clients follow different programs. This resource allows this variance to be managed.
To access the Range of Motion Online Training Diary, users must login at the top of the page. This will make your 'Toolbox' visible in the right sidebar (see below).

There will be more tools in your toolbox as the site and Range of Motion continue to evolve. Pertaining to your Training Diary, you have the ability to view 'Add Diary Entry' or 'My Training Diary'.
Add Diary Entry:
Clicking on this link will allow you to submit a new training entry. You have the following fields:
- Title: Choose a title for the session.
- Date: Choose the date you completed the session (default is 'today's date').
- Session Type: Very briefly, describe the session. Was is Olympic Lifting? A Couplet? A Run? A Chipper? Rehab work?
- Workout: List the entire workout you completed, including pre- and post- exercise routines. Include all variables you would need to repeat the exact workout in the future. Weights, reps etc should all be included.
- Score: Your time, or number of rounds, or weight lifted. Again, include all variables.
- Thoughts/comments: This is where you get the opportunity to make notes to improve on future performance. Were you happy with your performance? What could you have improved on? What limited you (breathing/strength etc)? How did the environment affect you (heat/cold)? What do you need to address to improve for next time? This is arguably the most important important part of your training log. It's where you learn to improve.
My Training Diary:
This section appears as a monthly calendar (below). You can view a month at a time, with all sessions completed during that month visible. You can scroll forward or back though the months.

Each submission in 'Add Diary Entry' appears as one entry in the calendar. Effectively, you can view your entire training month in one view. Clicking on one of the sessions results in that session appearing as a pop up in the screen. All info added when you submitted the score is visible. This effect means that you do not have to load a new page every time you want to view a session.

Coming soon will be an online food diary which will integrate with your training diary.
This resource is a major tool in improving your fitness and health. Utilise it as a mode of communication, and a source of improvement.
