Range of Motion’s Flexibility Program Structure:

Range of Motion’s Flexibility Program utilises scientifically based advanced partner stretching techniques. Appointments are conducted by an Accredited Exercise Physiologist from our clinic. All sessions employ PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) stretching to utilise the physilogical reflexes in the muscles for maximum effect.

 

Our Flexibility Package comprises the following.

  • One on one partner assisted flexibility sessions conducted by an Accredited Exercise Physiologist.
  • Pre and Post program testing to determine program success.
  • Prescription of home based flexibility program for daily improvement.
  • Prescription of a generalised exercise program to ensure blanket improvement of health.

 

Range of Motion’s Flexibility Philosophy:

Muscle has a viscoelastic property. Basically this means that it is not perfectly elastic, like a rubber band is. When a rubber band is stretched it returns to its normal length. Over time however, when muscles are stretched they experience creep, that is, they gradually get longer, thus increasing flexibility. There are methods to ensure that the rate of improvement is maximised, and that the changes are indeed long term. These are the methods employed by Range of Motion’s Exercise Physiologists.
