Range of Motion Staff

Range of Motion coaches are highly educated and professional, and they're really good people. We have Exercise Physiologists, Exercise Scientists, Physiotherapists and Trainers. We have specialists in the fields of CrossFit, gymnastics, Olympic Lifting, swimming, special populations, exercise for children, injury rehabilitation and chronic conditions. The individualised care and attention received from a member of the Range of Motion team is second to none.

Our team follows an intensive continuing education process as outlined in the ROM Professional Development Syllabus.

Dan Williams, Director.

Dan Williams is the Director of Range of Motion, with a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Exercise Rehabilitation Science.

Dan leads a team of Exercise Physiologists, Sports Scientists, Physiotherapists and Trainers. Dan is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Exercise Scientist and is a member of Exercise and Sports Science Australia. Dan is a CrossFit Coach (having coached athletes at CrossFIt Regionals and The CrossFit Games) and a competitive CrossFit Athlete (four time CrossFit Regionals). He works with individuals along the full health continuum, from the chronically diseased and deconditioned to elite athletes.

Bryn Williams

Bryn Williams has his Certificate III and IV in Fitness, is a qualified Master Trainer and Level 1 AWF (Australian Weighting Federation) Club Weightlifting/Sports Power Coach. His eight years in the industry makes Bryn highly experienced in many fields of health and exercise, and an extensive sports background means he can apply these techniques to sportspeople in all fields. His interests in mobility and movement efficiency allow Bryn to work closely with those needing injury and disease prevention and management. For Bryn, with exercise, health is the priority above all else. Bryn is a CrossFit Regionals competitor.

Ed Hamilton

Ed Hamilton has attained his Cert III & IV in Fitness and is a qualified Level 1 AWF (Australian Weighting Federation) Club Weightlifting/Sports Power Coach and a Level 1 CrossFit Trainer. He enjoys working with all levels of individuals who come to train, from the beginner to the competitive elite athlete.

Peter Scherp

Peter Scherp is a Level 1 Qualified CrossFit coach. He works extensively with clients who are beginners in the styles of training we undertake at Range of Motion.

Dawn Gregson

Dawn Gregson has been a CrossFit Level One coach for over five years, and has been involved in this style of training for seven years. Dawn specialises in working with children, particularly gross motor development for children aged three to 12. She has a Diploma in Children's Services and Early Childhood Education Training and has a strong history of multiple dance disciplines. She is an experienced competitor, having competed in the CrossFit Games Masters Qualifer on multiple occasions, and the Pan Pacific Games. 

Denae Brown

Denae Brown is currently studying a Bachelor of Sport & Health Science and Movement Science at Murdoch University. She has completed her Certificate III and IV in Fitness, is a Level One Strength and Conditioning Coach (ASCA), Level One AWF (Australian Weighting Federation) Club Weightlifting/Sports Power Coach and Pre & Post Natal Exercises course (FIA Fitnation). Denae has qualified three times for the CrossFit Games, qualified in 1st Place as the Australasian Regionals Champion and represented Australia at the CrossFit Invitationals. Denae is excited about helping you to achieve your goals. Be ready to be challenged towards reaching new limits in your training while you go there with the confidence in knowing you will be working with one of Australia's most well-respected, former CrossFit Games athletes.

Dina Steens

Dina Steens has a Certificate III and IV in Fitness, is a Level 1 Strength and Conditioning Coach (ASCA) and Level 1 Kettlebell Instructor (Australian Institute of Kettlebells). With a background in competitive gymnastics (10 years) and Muay Thai (5 years), Dina has spent most of her life competing in sport. She enjoys sharing her experience and knowledge of health and fitness with people of all levels and ages. Dina is also a children's gymnastics coach and believes early childhood development is the key to both mental and physical health.

Jess Lai

Jess is a competitive weightlifter who has represented Australia at multiple international competitions. She is currently completing a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and is a qualified Level 1 CrossFit Trainer, CrossFit Kids Trainer and CrossFit Gymnastics Trainer.

Mat Harvey

Mat Harvey has a Bachelor of Science, Level 1 Crossfit Coach and Certificate III and IV in Fitness. He has over 22 years experience coaching sports including figure skating and mountain biking. He has a 5 year background in competitive CrossFit. The last 2 years Mat has studied under Chris Sommer (Gymnastic Bodies) and Steve Atlas, combining traditional weightlifting (olympic and powerlifting) with bodyweight strength and flexibility practices.

Ray Hodgkinson

Ray Hodgkinson is a CrossFit level 2 certificate holder, and has been coaching and competing in CrossFit for 6 years. He has a background in professional indoor lacrosse, and played at the highest level of Canadian amateur indoor lacrosse. Ray found of love for training through sport, and has experience in many strength sports. Including competitive weightlifting, powerlifting, strongman and Highland games. He has also competed at the CrossFit Regional team level in the Canada West Region on two occasions. Ray enjoys working with all levels of athletes, to those competitive in sport or individuals just getting into fitness.

Lucia Tennant, Formotion Physio.

Lucia is a Physiotherapist with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy and certificate in Dry Needling. She owns and operates Formotion Physio out of Range of Motion. Lucia has first hand experience across an extensive range of sports with particular expertise in the prevention and treatment of problems that may arise through hihg intensity training. As a sprinter herself she also enjoys treating injuries associated with running and improving clients' technique and performance in this area. Lucia has added interest in the management of chronic pain, as well as men’s and women’s health issues relating to pelvic floor dysfunction.

Jill Redfern

Jill Redfern is based in Yallingup / Dunsborough. She is a Level 1 CrossFit Trainer and has qualifications in Cert IV Fitness, Sports Management, Coaching Principles and Swimming Coaching and Teaching. Jill has a special interest in nutrition, and has lectured in this subject at TAFE. She has specialised in the specific training needs of equestrians in Perth's Swan Valley - a skill which she continues now in the South West of WA. Through example, Jill inspires her clients to achieve greater levels of health and fitness.
