Back Extension Roll Exercise Improvement Program

January 1, 2015

Range of Motion’s Exercise Improvement Programs have been developed to assist in improving the ability to complete the movements that people most commonly struggle with. They are designed to be cycled through over time, with each session running for only five minutes. This allows them to be completed in addition to (not instead of) your regular programming.

  • Session 1: In five minutes accumulate 10 ‘candlestick drills’, with arms overhead in hollow body, then 10 ‘candlestick drills’, with palms on the ground in hollow body, then 10 ‘candlestick drills’, with palms on the ground in tuck.
  • Session 2: In five minutes, accumulate 15 backward rolls.
  • Session 3: In five minutes, complete five frog stand (knees between elbows) kick backs into push-up, then accumulate 15 back extension rolls to push-up position.
  • Session 4: In five minutes, complete five frog stand (knees between elbows) kick backs into 45 degree angled handstand against the wall, then accumulate 15 back extension rolls into 45 degree angled handstand against the wall.
  • Session 5: In five minutes, complete five frog stand (knees between elbows) kick ups into handstand against the wall, then accumulate 15 back extension rolls into handstand against the wall.
  • Session 6: In five minutes, complete five frog stand (knees between elbows) kick ups into handstand, then accumulate 15 back extension rolls into handstand.
