This seminar will teach attendees:

  1. The importance of mental skills in sporting and exercise performance.
  2. The strategies and techniques that can be used to develop mental skills.
  3. How to put the strategies and techniques into practice.

Mental skills will be developed in the fields of:

  • Arousal regulation: Identify your optimal arousal levels for peak performance, and how to get into your ‘ideal performance state’.
  • Imagery: Learn to maximise your performance without training more.
  • Self-confidence: Increase your belief in your own ability and use it to increase performance.
  • Goal setting: Learn how to develop effective goals, and the steps you should take to achieve them.
  • Concentration: Learn strategies to improve your focus to maximise performance.

Attendees will complete various activities to ensure that they are able to transfer their new-found skills to the gym, sporting field, or in life in general.

Presenter:

This event is presented by Dan Williams. Dan is the Founder and Director of Range of Motion. He is an  Exercise Physiologist and Exercise Scientist with a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Exercise Rehabilitation Science. Dan is a CrossFit Coach (at CF Games Level) and four time CrossFit Regionals Athlete.

Founder/Director

Dan Williams is the Director of Range of Motion and leads a team of Exercise Physiologists, Sports Scientists, Physiotherapists and Coaches. He has a Bachelor of Science (Exercise and Health Science) and a Postgraduate Bachelor of Exercise Rehabilitation Science from The University of Western Australia, with minors in Biomechanics and Sport Psychology.
