Recipe: Portobello Beef Burger

Serves 2. Preparation time 15 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 300g beef mince
  • 2 large portobello mushrooms
  • lettuce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tspn onion powder
  • 1 tspn salt
  • 1 tspn pepper

Method:

  1. Preheat grill to high heat.
  2. Slice vegetables.
  3. Place mince and seasoning in bowl.  Mixed and distribute into two
    patties.
  4. Grill burgers on high for 5 minutes per side flipping once.
  5. Grill onion and portobello caps on high for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Serve burger atop the portobello cap with lettuce, onion and tomato.
